Highland Park United Methodist Church is excited to provide space for the Stormont Vail Health Mobile Clinic. This service will be available on the first and third Friday of each month. The hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3:50 p.m. You do not need to be a member of HPUMC to use this service.

Peace with Justice Sunday is a denomination-wide celebration intended to raise awareness that even in a world plagued by war, terror, violence, and destruction, people of faith have a clear call to build peace with justice. Join us on Sunday, May 26th to learn more.
The Spirit is alive and moving! Celebrate Pentecost and the incredible gift of God's presence in our lives on Sunday, May 19th at both the 8:00 am and 10:30 am services.
The Praise Band will join the 8:00 am service in the chapel. At the 10:30 Sanctuary service, we will have special music from the Northeast Allied Tribes Drum Group, the Wesley Choir, Praise Band and the Bell Choir.

We will have an all-church game night on Saturday, April 6th from 6 pm to 8 pm. There will be games such as Apples to Apples, Uno and Yahtzee and various card games.

This festival will feature games, activities and an Easter egg hunt for all kids sixth grade and below. The Easter egg hunt will be divided between two age groups, kindergarten and younger and 1st grade and older.
The games include: a "fish pond" screen with prizes, face painting, egg in spoon relay, parachute, ring toss, bunny box (another throwing activity), paper baskets to construct, and pretzels with icing and candy decorations that kids can decorate, themselves.

Let’s fill the tub that is located in the North Hallway and make it a “Souper Bowl Sunday.” This is a way our church can support the I Care food pantry who assists people right here in our community.

To celebrate Super Bowl Sunday, February 11, 2024, we are collecting cans of soup for the next several weeks. Let’s fill the tub that is located in the North Hallway and make it a “Souper Bowl Sunday.” This is a way our church can support the I Care food pantry who assists people right here in our community.
Due to the anticipated frigid conditions and snow, our church will be closed this Sunday, January 14th. The 10:30 am service will be live-streamed right here on Facebook.

Our snow crew will be cleaning off the sidewalks and parking lot so the Garden of Lights and Caroling Service will still be held at 5:30 pm (see information below). We will know if it will be inside or outside tomorrow.
Highland Park United Methodist Church is offering a "Blue Christmas" worship service on Friday, December 22nd at 7 pm in the chapel. Christmas can be a difficult time for many reasons. The service is open to anyone who is feeling blue, lonely or grieving during the holiday season. The service will include music, scripture, and prayer.
Please invite your friends, neighbors, and family members who might benefit from such a gathering. Enter through the west doors off of Michigan Ave.
We will not have the 8:00 am worship service or the 9:15 am Sunday school classes on Christmas Eve day!

Join our friends at the Tabernacle and Table "TNT" at the CRC Care Center at Lundgren for Bierocks and Jams! Due to the expected colder weather, the Trunk or Treat will be held indoors and become the "Haunted Hallway" to give out candy to the kids. The bierocks, raffle and live music will be in room 7 at the south entrance on Forest Avenue. We will be accepting donations but there is no cost for the event.
Interfaith of Topeka's annual Thanksgiving service will be held Sunday, November 21st at 6:30 pm at Highland Park United Methodist Church, 2419 SE Michigan. The theme will be "A Joyful Gathering."
This service expresses the thankfulness which is common to all faiths for the blessings we receive throughout the year. The recipient of our donations this year will be the Topeka Youth Project.

Maundy Thursday is the day in Holy Week that Jesus met with His disciples for the final time. Jesus washed the feet of the apostles and shared communion. There will be a washing of the hands to signify the washing of the feet and communion. This meaningful service will be at 7:00 pm Thursday evening in the Chapel. Everyone is welcome.

Liberty, a traditional Southern Gospel Quartet, is a full-time concert ministry based in the West Boise, Idaho area.
Whether or not you are a fan of Southern Gospel music, you will certainly enjoy the enthusiasm these men exhibit while serving and singing to the Lord. Their ministry bridges all generations, bringing enjoyment to traditional and contemporary venues.
No admission fees are requested, but an offering will be taken in support of their ministry.

A community festival is planned from 2 pm to 5 pm on September 24th.
This festival will feature a bounce house, games, hot dogs, popcorn booth and more. Come visit us for a good food and fellowship. Please bring a friend. See you there!
Both the pack and the troops will be selling popcorn until Thursday, October 27th. Money raised by cub scouts goes to fund the pack operations, and money raised by the troop 12 and 13 scouts goes to fund their individual activities.

The "All Church Conference" for the following churches will be at the Highland Park Methodist Church at the SE corner 29th and Michigan. Our District Superintendent Rev. Jenny Collins, Topeka/Flint Hills will be presiding over the conference.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - we’re just getting started on the holiday sweets season - and a topeka church can help you get your fill!
Nancy Lewis with the Highland Park United Methodist Church women’s group visited Eye on NE Kansas to share details of their Sweet Shoppe. Members of the group create a variety of cookies, cakes, pies and baked goods for people to purchase. Proceeds benefit the various ministries the group supports, including adopting residents of a local senior care home.
The Sweet Shoppe will be open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 at Highland Park UMC, SE 29th & Michigan.
In conjunction with the sweet sale, the church’s food pantry will be holding a sale of new and gently used holiday decor items to support their efforts.
